The markets are down at the moment... downward trends... trend created when there are transactions... transactions still mean that cash/value was exchanged... this means someone is buying what others are selling... but at a better price... its done this before...

Yeah, not nice but I think it's not a smart strategy to have all one's eggs in the one basket, diversity minimises risk and stress.
Absolutely. And the more money you have, the more diversity you need and the safer you are.
Conversely, if you don't have much money, then just pick something that is fairly safe and keep stacking until the right moment. I think that is all a person can do in this case.
