So, yes..... you asked, "Have you ever had this happen?" My reply would be... daily. Multiple Sclerosis, with all the extra crap that comes with it lol. Cognitive Issues, for the "proper" definition. I favor "Brain Fog", but regardless... It is always such a pleasure to read your words. They certainly fit the vibe I was hopeful others would resonate with in my community.
