It's Not A Easy Road!
Really it isn't!
That switching mindsets to get what you seek in life, it's easy to be motivated but not as easy to stay disciplined and discipline is where the real value lies!
No doubt we all struggle with discipline!
If you want it done then get it done!
Changing Lifestyles!
Well I won't exactly say that I've been living differently or living some extravagant lifestyle that I can not afford. No, what I mean with this is that I started waking up earlier, I started working out after work.
It's a change I seek, a change from this everyday has to be the same. I mean why does it have to be?
Now if there is one thing I can say is that regarding the exercises, well on that I made myself a little too proud! I thought that I would be getting into it just to fall out of it within the week or the week after that! This is not the case!
Don't get me wrong, I have to force myself to do those exercises otherwise it won't be getting done!
I spoke to Bossman the other day and he asked me if I get the same hype before leaving work and getting all excited for the workout and then once you get home you don't want nothing to do with it?
Yes I have, I do experience that everyday, but the moment you start with doing these things it becomes easier to push through it!
There was something I heard Joe Rogan once say. "He said 95% of the work is done when showing up, just be there and you'll get it done.
It seems that, that might have hit the spot for me, that is something I've realized to be more than true in most circumstances. From a person that works on vehicles daily there are some tasks that you just don't want to do at all but once you get to doing them it really isn't that bad at all.
Why is that? Why do experience these things in such a manner? Why aren't we built to push ourselves to the brink? Or more so, why do we seek so much comfort?
Never The Easy Way Out.
What is there to be learned from the easy way out? Does that mean it should be the way out then? What is the worth of something if it has no value?
You need discipline because motivation fades! The one thing we can truely control in life is our thoughts and actions and we should be more aware about them and have control over them, rather than our emotions having control over us.
That is exactly why I've set myself down and gave me a list of things that I want to achieve for the day. Doing the small things great all the time, makes one great all the time!
Stop living a closed minded life and start doing the hard things in life, for that is where growth takes place.
