RE: Participating In Community Projects

It's time to get rid of the things I don't use anymore

We did a massive purge of un-used stuff when we moved a couple years ago. Haven't missed it at all. Donated some to a local charity that runs a thrift shop, gave some away, trashed some that wasn't worth anything to anybody. Haven't regretted any of it. And felt good to see some of it go to good use. Lately we mostly donate our time. Since we aren't working we help our neighbors alot a couple of them are older and need help with simple things that don't take much time but are helpful to them.

Obviously moving is a very good occasion to rethink what you need and what you won't ever use. I'm trying to make a small selection each year but this year it looks like it's going to be bigger.

Donating your time to those in need is the nicest thing you can do, so congrats for that!! I really like it! I hope more people can do that. The world could be a better place.
