I'm waiting for a smaller stump to dry out so I can drill into it and set it on fire. I watched a YouTube video of somebody doing this. It's generally not recommended for larger trees as the root fire can travel to other trees. In my case, it's an isolated invasive species that I don't want coming back.

I remember pulling stumps with my father in west Texas where the soil is rocky. They wouldn't give, even using the pickup truck to pull on them. Later I learned you can use a large wheel and winch to pull them almost straight up. I haven't tried that yet.
