RE: Too Deep Of A Hole?

I never used credit cards this way. My main use case for cards is to run everything I can through them to accumulate maximum cash back rewards and pay everything off every month.

If people are carrying balance on a card 10% is still pretty high when mortgage rates are at 6%. I would think 8% would be a better target to shoot for.

I was actually pretty responsible with my cards after I first got them. Unfortunately, I was in a relationship that emphasized having fun more than being a responsible adult and a couple years of that lead to the previous situation. Now the one card we use gets paid off in full every month. It's probably been more than a decade since I was charged interested on anything besides my mortgage or my car loan.

You are doing it right and these CC rates have no impact on you or me. Interest rate on credit cards is sometimes the problem for those caught in a tough spot, but I think most of the time even 8% interest rate would not save those who are fundamentally doing it wrong. If someone is just racking up the spending until they max out their card it doesn't matter if the interest rate is 8% or 28%

Yeah, that is a good point!
