My main takeaway from this is that it mainly just becomes harder and harder to be a parent as there are just so many more impulses and dangers to protect your kids against in this current age.

        I can't disagree with you on that. Being a good parent and raise your kids in a healthy environment, protecting them from danger while trying to not suffocate them with excessive rules is an art and very hard to achieve.
