Hello everyone!!! Thanks for stopping by my blog and coming to visit.
I remember the first time I spent Christmas Eve at the hotel working. At first I didn't really like the idea of being away from my family on such a special date. But then it seemed like a new and different experience. After all, it is a very pleasant and festive atmosphere.
Then I realized that for a tourism worker, spending important dates away from home is not an exception, but the rule. Then I learned to appreciate more, and I find it amazing, every moment I am able to spend with my family, surrounded by love and peace.
I understood that only the moments with our loved ones are essential. I understood that it is simply in the everyday that the truly extraordinary resides. For the love of our loved ones is like the salt of life, without them, no matter how many places or special events one goes to, it would be like tasting a tasteless delicacy.
On the other hand, together with my work colleagues I have gone through joyful, difficult, tense and even epic events. How can I forget the recent hurricane we went through together and we even had to stay overnight in the hotel? I don't forget that day, it was very intense and exciting. We had to work late into the night, keeping an eye on the safety of our clients. Although we ended up very exhausted, it was beautiful to see the favorable fruit of our common effort.
Because there's no denying that spending so much time together at work lays the groundwork for forging beautiful fraternal bonds. In the case of me and @indipnash91, more than that, we can boast a beautiful friendship.
We cannot fail to mention those critical moments at work, which have brought us to stress and to the brink of a nervous breakdown. Those situations that today seem ridiculous to us and which we can laugh about out loud, but at the time almost made us cry with impotence. And without realizing it, they have helped us grow as professionals and made us more united. It is not in vain that they say that "no good sailor is forged in calm waters".
Working in the hospitality industry is not easy; on the contrary, it is a challenge. Every day we have to give our all to help put smiles on the faces of people who come perhaps from the other side of the world, whom we have never met before, and who have still decided to trust us to create unforgettable memories. From whichever perspective you look at it, it may seem like a life of sacrifice; with an optimistic view, I would say it is a privilege. The reality is that it is both, like two sides of the same coin.
I think the secret is to live a life with purpose, to put love and passion into everything we do and to enjoy every little moment we can with our loved ones to the fullest. It is in that perfect balance that happiness lies.
Big hugs to all!!! Thank you for reading me.
