the cops go after the little guy who spits on the street, yet a blind eye is turned against the powerful corporate banking institutions who are a haven for the corrupt and the criminal, washing and laundering their ill gotten gains with impunity.
You can be controversial all you want, that's not a problem.
Yes, what you're saying is a typical reaction (or mentality) of many, and it is wrong in my opinion. These cops did their job, they did what they were paid to do. Just because others don't do their job, doesn't mean these cops shouldn't and they instead should let others break rules.

I guess these cops have targets to meet, imposed upon them by the system?
I don't have any information about that and truly hope they don't as that would be really wrong! I have seen where such a measure can lead and it's not nice.
Totally agree with that !! Here in the UK the govt sets targets on lots of issues, education, national health service as examples, measuring like this in my opinion, detracts from value as corners get cut and create false impressions.
