RE: Are Times Changing?

Loved your post, love your sentiments, I too remember, harsh winters and going to school .....in shorts, as long trousers were not permitted in my grammar school until you entered the second year. Not a thought was given to closing the schools and stopping the world from turning.

We had proper winters then, deep snow that sat for weeks, not this "dusting" we had this year.

The Uk has turned into a "nanny state", the kids are growing up risk averse, it is a joke this country. The mainstream popular press doesn't help they continue the "scare the sheeple" narrative that went full on during the covey scamdemic.

Still it keeps the doomscrollers orgasmic in their sad little lives.

I am glad you liked it, it was fun to write it. maybe I should write more posts like this, just need the time.

I'm also glad my post made you remember your childhood and while we're here, let me tell you, I never understood why little kids have to wear shorts till a certain age, even during winter. Parents should protect their kids, not force some stupid dress code on them, just because society thinks that's what everyone should do. I asked my dad and he says it was the same here after the war. Some rules are stupid.

And you're not the one complaining about what the UK has become :)

Guess it was a generational thing, but now lol things have changed for me, I rarely wear trousers, I am always in shorts. But that is out of choice
