Certainly a sexy looking pen there! I find these days when I have to write a lot it hurts my wrist simply because we just don't do it like we used to. Do fountain pens like this help reduce stress because you don't have to press as hard?
Yep. I wasn't writing a "benefits" post or I would have mentioned that first. Since fountain pens rely on gravity to work (instead of relying on friction like ballpoints), they require zero downward pressure. In fact, with more delicate nibs like the one in this pen, downward pressure will destroy the nib. You learn to simply guide the pen instead of pressing down. This means no more wrist pain. It also means that cursive writing becomes far easier than print, since you are just guiding and not pushing down (and lifting up) all the time.
So absolutely, if you are having wrist pain when writing, I'd suggest try a fountain pen. I can give you some pen suggestions if you'd like.
Very cool! It's actually pretty rare that I ever write a bunch anymore. I still like to take notes on paper when I am in meetings though. People probably look at me like "aren't you the tech guy?".
hah yeah I was the same way when I worked in tech. Then when I transitioned to teaching I did all my material by hand. Yeah I could have easily done it on a computer, but I already waste too much time staring at screens, no need to add any more.
