RE: Taking credit for someone else's contribution

in Reflectionslast year

There is a saying that describes what you have experienced, “to gain indulgences with someone else's scapular”, means to take advantage of the work or effort of others to obtain a benefit, without having personally contributed to it. It is a saying that criticizes the idea of receiving recognition or reward for something that has not been achieved by one's own merit, but by the help or work of others.

I feel totally identified with you, because I have lived it and now I don't do that kind of things, I know it sounds like being a bad partner, but each one can take care of what corresponds to him/her.

Probably each of us has had this experience, whether someone took our credit or we took someone else's... Only when we experience on our own skin what it looks like when someone is praised for the work we have done, it is clear to us how the person, whose work we are appropriating, felt.
