Yep, FOSS is the way to go, and the more of it abounds, the better!
By the way, your SavvyCorrect delivered a very stealthy sneak attack when it made you write 'a widef range'. 😁 🙏 💚 ✨ 🤙

Imagine if all source codes (at least starting from now on) become Free and Open-Source (FOSS). 🤔 Those "evil" bots won't be able to hide from both humans and "good" bots! 😆😅
Anyway, #SavvyCorrect apologizes for letting a minor mistake pass through. 🤗 It still makes true positives and true negatives more than 99% of the time, and it even (very) frequently detects typing mistakes from other Hive people with whom I talk with too! 😎😏

I'm game for all software being FOSS! Neither the bots, or anyone else, would be able to hide evil bits in his/her code!
Wow, SavvyCorrect is sentient then, since it apologized to me?!? 😁 🙏 💚 ✨ 🤙

Software developers might be less motivated to code though, as they might not be able to earn enough from writing such Free and Open-Source Software codes. 🤔🤯
Maybe it apologized just to me! 🤯😆

Then I'd say that they need to change their business model.
That might be what it wants you to think. 😁 🙏 💚 ✨ 🤙

I think that FOSS and a "business model" are hardly compatible. 🤯🤯
It looks like you want me to doubt my and @savvytester's #SavvyCorrect! 🤯😅

Not necessarily. Developers can make their money in other ways than selling their product. It may be guaranteed customer support for those that buy a support plan, or maybe they work on the Linux kernel, which has quite a lot of funding now.
Haha....who, me? Never...lol! 😁 🙏 💚 ✨ 🤙

It's possible that if a FOSS app has a "paid support plan", its devs would be less inclined to make the app easier to use so that users would be more likely to pay for such support. 🤯
The "working on Linux kernel" sounds broad too, with questions such as "what exactly to do" and "how much work to do" for a given amount of funding. 🤯🤓
Yes, indeed, for unethical coders that very likely happens. The Linux kernel has an army of coders, both individuals, and people working on behalf of corporations, all focused in different areas. As far as I know, only a few get paid. 😁🙏💚✨🤙
