Audacity is a great app, I have used it for years.. Hope your Linux Mint install helps out with working on programming.

That makes sense. I've been taking a look at other distros, but I have zero complaints about Linux Mint. I used the Mate desktop since I wanted something simple.
For that I tend to be focused and want the environment to be minimal and distraction free.
Focused attention seems to be the quality or resource with the most limited supply, but most of modern tech and consumption patterns seems designed to purposely squander it.
