Good question, as there does appear to be some sort of automatic mechanism in place. ๐ ๐ ๐ โจ ๐ค

Maybe a Hive community leader can set a Reputation threshold, such that any Hive account that is below the threshold will be displayed by most Hive frontends as being "muted" without the need for manual or automatic muting. ๐ค๐คฏ

A Hive community leader who doesn't want any Hive account's comments or posts to be automatically displayed as "muted" can set the Reputation threshold to -100 or something. ๐

Creating a Hive community is (almost) as simple as creating a new Hive account, though it will cost you 3 HIVE doing so. ๐ค
