What helps us to make correct judgements is balance. There is a difference between our emotions and logic. To this, balance helps us to manage our emotions and align them with reasons so we don't make cold-hearted decisions ot impulsive ones that will affect us.
Fairness vs. Self-interest having a balance will make us consider our personal needs without neglecting the needs or rights of others.
Present vs. Past, this helps us to learn from our past mistakes without being trapped by our past.

I strongly believe balance and judgment are two sides of the same coin. The reason why I believe so is justified below.
Balance is the process, while judgement is the outcome behind it. We cannot have one without having the other if we want quality decisions.
I may be very intelligent with knowledge, but without balance in me, my judgement can turn out to be destructive or biased. Like a coin, one side balances to ensure the other judgment has value. If one is missing, the coin will become incomplete and it will become worthless. Whatever judgment that we make, we need balance to perfect our judgment, as balance helps us to have a pause, rethink, feel better, and act wisely.
