One question keep ringing in my mind when ever I see leaves with different colours as these;

how does these leave produce their own food as in photosynthesis, chlorophyll and sunlight?

We were thought in biology at school that photosynthesis takes effect when sunlight shines on the green leaves thereby producing the food that sustains the life of plants, grasses and trees.

Now that the leaves over there has different colours, how does photosynthesis take place.
