I had no idea whatsoever that witness votes decayed over time. I have a question about it though. Do all the unused witness votes decay? Or they decay only if we haven't cast any votes whatsoever?

if you update your votes within the year none of them decay ... it's good practice to periodically review all the votes you have in place as some Witnesses drop off and new ones come on that you may want to support.
Well, even did a post about it. Guess I'll be paying a lot of attention to those matters.
