Eric July's Rippaverse
Eric July's https://rippaverse.com has a strong start in 2025 powered by the success of Yaira #2 written by the Soska Sisters , The Great War of Separation (Chuck Dixon), and ISOM #3 the Rippaverse's flag ship title. Between seven (7) campaigns the Rippaverse has already logged 44,000 books sold, and over $1.5 million in sales.
Ethan Van Sciver's Comicsgate
Comicsgate has started 2025 somewhat slowly, mired in continuous fights on YouTube, with late projects from Van Sciver perhaps throttling backer enthusiasm. Billy Tucci's "Shi Gatecrasher" on Kickstarter remains the most successful Comicsgate project of 2025 to date. The past week was relatively flat with $11,093 raised by the combined Comicsgate projects. New added to index this week is Tom Tuttle's "Seven Amens Before Sundown" on the crowdfunding site https://www.fundmycomic.com/
Top 20 Kickstarter.com Comic Book Campaigns
Comic book campaigns on Kickstarter.com had a huge week lead by "James S.A. Corey Returns to THE EXPANSE in A LITTLE DEATH."
Lead by the strength of the Expanse graphic novel, and Art book by Jorge Jiminez, and the Rick and Morty Omnibus, comic book projects on Kickstarter raised well over $1,000,000 in the past week. Alternative and adult themes continue to dominate the Top 20, spots with very little superhero fair topping the charts.
