What a beautiful time it was — the days of childhood.
No worry, no trouble, just laughter, play, and small small dreams.
Wake up in the morning and watch cartoons, play with friends in the afternoon, and in the evening sit in mother’s lap and listen to stories.
That time was so simple, heart also clean, and happiness used to hide in small small things.
We had a good time with friends on the streets, we had plenty of time for playing, At every evening or night we get gather to play different games and the most loved one was Pahadi and guli danda.
On the days of weekend, we all friends gather, pool money and buy bat, ball, wicket, gloves, and tapes. Dairy area was our best place for playing cricket and we spend the whole day there.
Often I think how fast time changed.
Those streets, those games, those moments of laughter now only live in memories.
We became grown ups, became busy, and childhood stayed behind somewhere.
Now every day is a race, every night brings some worry.
The simplicity of childhood now feels like only a dream.
We had now not enough time for the family, this cruel world has made us too busy in our works, we are worried about our earnings, we are busy in job and businesses which left us away from the social life.
There was a special magic in those memories. Whenever we get tired or heart becomes sad, some childhood thing comes to mind and a smile spreads on the face.
Maybe these memories keep us connected, make us human.
Childhood is gone, but its color is still fresh in the heart. I have still memories of the streets we played, laughed and enjoyed our time. Sometimes it makes me cry when I memorize those memories.
