I've been thinking about doing something with automotive journalism. Podcast, video, or articles. I've been in the industry for 20 years, so I might have something to offer. Are any people on Hive interested in substantial automotive posts over the usual style that gets posted?
I've not seen a huge amount in that area on Hive, but @planetauto post their videos and do engage with people. I hardly drive these days, but I'm interesting in where things are going. The EV is probably the future.
I hadn't even seen that account. I only saw the community, so thanks for pointing them out to me. It doesn't seem to be a very popular topic on Hive which is why I decided to make at least one post asking before I started trying to dive in.
What about a series on basic driveway diagnostics? How to test whether a problem is related to air, fuel, or spark? How to use a multimeter to test wiring? What signals real catastrophe like a blown head gasket versus a more mundane issue like a misfire?
I should have specified I meant more along the lines of the industry (news, etc) rather than diagnosis and maintenance information.
Doesn't mean there is no room for such content whatsoever. I hardly think my opinions and interests are universal.
My tenure has been with cars and light/medium duty trucks. I'd probably focus on that since that's what I'm familiar with, if anything.
