As more telescopes come online, the findings in astrophysics are getting wilder. Now astronomers are theorizing that our galaxy is inside a low density void (or Hubble Bubble) that is causing all the "tension" between two contradicting observations. Craziness!

I watched a video the other day that said they were able to see beyond what they should be able to see in the observable universe. What they saw there didn't make sense either. Clusters that were not galaxies as we know them etc. Perhaps another universe interacting with ours. :)

That would be really incredible if it turns out that there is something beyond. A few years ago, I read that some force beyond the observable universe was pulling on galaxies, but scientists didn't know what it was. I wonder if this had something to do with that. 🤔

What is even more incredible is that they're finding these results based on the echoes of the big bang as gleaned from baryon acoustic oscillations.

My ordinary mind will crack open lol. The name Hubble Bubble sounds amusing, would the bubble burst one day?

It's hard to grasp the scales of these structures. I hope the bubble doesn't burst though
