A.I. is not a threat to architects yet. I really don't think it ever will be.

Sort:

AI right now, it's a quick assistant, a tool to consult or something to have a template in most of the cases imo, you can use AI to code or to make a basic design but you will have to correct and improve most of the details.

What will be in the future no one knows.

This isn't even a starting point for a plan. We have far better tools.

Oh ffs lol, watching the video lmao, those tools are actually a disaster, have they tried with other AIs like DeepSeek or not so specifics tools?.

The designs were ridiculous, I've been actually using a designer program to plan our house. Their AI tool was available for money.😬

Hahaha indeed, i was just talking about that w my husband. But i wouldnt say that AI wont ever figure it out... it's incredibly close.

This is just an AI image generator trained on scanned blueprints, and to my eye it's even worse than most A.I. slop images. There is so much knowledge to apply to a plan, from basic principles to specific site considerations and client needs. This isn't remotely close to a plan.

Factoring the rate of AI's evolution - I'm no expert - but, I give it maybe 2 years before it surprises us with a capable floorplan gen. Then maybe 2 more years before it reaches a commercial grade. Trust me, I'm not happy about it because I actually make floor plans for clients.

I have my concerns about this anyway.
