I’m trying out running a poll! Let me know your thoughts!
Technically right now less than 10HP is more than enough, but people will have to vote higher amounts in terms of percentage, in order for the rewards to be accepted. (aka, lots of 100% votes)... so people will have less opportunity to curate (less effective votes).
You're absolutely right, and sometimes it's a disadvantage. Having more hit points would be ideal, no doubt, but we're working on it; we're growing. Everything requires effort that will eventually pay off. My goal is to keep increasing my account so my healing is more effective.
It's already starting to look good at that number, so at 20k it's wonderful haha :D
I vote at 25k, because in my case, starting at 20k, I was able to reduce the percentage of my votes and thus vote more and still add a few cents of value to the post.
The more HP, the lower the percentage per vote = more votes and more different people to receive the vote.
I understand, having more HP allows you to reduce your percentage and give more votes to more users, and make them meaningful, hehe, I'm becoming an expert.

Thank you! I appreciate the explanation with your answer! I am genuinely curious and it’s nice to see such a diverse set of answers!
I'm happy to participate haha, the more people interact in a poll, the more information is distributed! Best regards.
I would think so too. It does seem like more than enough for most people but I just wanted to see what people think! 😊
What's an effective curator? If it mean an impactful curator maybe 25k or 50k.
But if we consider just curating, people can start with at least $0,02 per vote right? So I would say something like 5k.
How you interpret the poll is somewhat subjective so I appreciate you providing detail on what you think. 25k to 50k being impactful is good to know. Thanks!
If we talk about levels of impactful, imagine a trail of 25k curators. That's massive!
I chose the +150k option because the question itself refers to being an EFFECTIVE curator, and personally that means my votes have enough value to have a noticeable effect on the author.
Obviously, with more than 15-25k you can be a curator who makes a difference nowadays.
That seems to be the most common answer so far! Will be interesting what others say. I agree with you on the 15-25k number for sure. People do tend to appreciate upvotes from people in that range. 🙂
I appreciate all votes, no matter where they come from, because I know the true value of each one and how hard it is to reach a certain amount here on Hive.
15-25k maybe? I mean I can make the number move when I upvote so I count that as being effective.
Yea that makes a lot of sense. Thanks for the explanation for what you think and why! It is very much appreciated!
If I had that much HP I would be a good curator, however, even with my current low HP I try to compensate with excellent quality comments, I think that interaction also makes me a good curator
By the way, I have sent you a encrypted memo a while ago, unsure if you saw it. But if not... give it a check once you can.
Yea sorry I saw it and just keep getting distracted lol. I am planning on getting that taken care of tomorrow 🙂
Right now, 10k would be fabulous for effective healing, but if we're talking about spectacular healing, 150k would be good.
Less than 10k is okay for me to be an active curator. The new change since the hardfork makes it even harder as the voting power depletes even faster, making it difficult to vote on many posts.
And that's the final whistle! Your poll has officially ended - now go see what made the cut.
The top-voted choice is 150000+ with 9 accounts voting for it.
