Wish we had trains like that in the US. A high speed link between DC and NYC would be great compared to this 3.5 hour ride I've taken a few times.
We often complain in Europe, but the railway network is pretty good.
The only issue is that a lot of countries have their own network and that the trains have different widths, so the trains can't cross the borders.
