I’ve always found it strange and funny when people reduce skincare and great hygiene to being gender based, when we are all humans with bodies that need care.

It also makes me wonder how much mockery they would make of the men who spend big on skincare. But then, I do not bother because such view about taking care of one’s self is myopic and I’m glad you never relented with your routine.

Skincare works! Even when people with skin concerns cannot afford to seek help from professionals, the cheap but somewhat effective products they use is also skincare, and of course, hair care is super important for all!

Exactly, the gender thing has always been weird to me, our bodies don't check what's between our legs before reacting to harmattan or sun. And you're right about affordability too, mine isn't expensive, shea butter and honey aren't luxury items, they're just consistency. That's the part people miss, it's not about how much you spend, it's about actually showing up for our skin daily
