Hello Hive family, welcome to my blog, in this post i sharing a big life lesson i learned from a coconut tree.
So yesterday evening, I sat quietly in my compound, enjoying nature’s own air conditioner, the gentle, refreshing breeze. The silence was peaceful, yet filled with a thousand unspoken words.
As I sat lost in thought, I suddenly lifted my head and noticed a tall coconut tree. It wasn’t the first time I had seen it, but today, I saw it in a different light.
The tree stood tall, vibrant, and fruitful. Its leaves caught my attention; some were lush and green, others brown and withering. In that moment, it struck me how much this tree reflected life itself.
Life is a cycle of ups and downs. The tree, though silent, told that story so clearly. The brown leaves were once green and full of life, too, but time had run its course. Still, the tree stood tall, strong, resilient, and unshaken by the passing of times and seasons.
That simple observation taught me something profound: life will always happen to us. There will be challenges, storms, and quiet seasons. But through it all, we must stay positive and resilient. These experiences, both good and bad, shape who we are becoming.
A simple glance at that tree gave me courage and clarity. It set the tone for my week, and I’m grateful for how nature spoke to me today. Truly, if we take the time to listen, nature has a lot to teach us, even in silence.
Not long after, my eyes caught another coconut tree in my neighbour’s compound. The difference between the two was clear; one had grown tall through time and experience, while the other was still finding its way up.
It reminded me that as humans, we often admire others’ results without recognising their process. We compare and pressure ourselves, forgetting that growth takes time. We want the “soft life,” but are unwilling to go through the hard work and refining process that creates it.
Just like these trees, life is all about growth, learning, falling, rising again, and becoming stronger with every step. There are no shortcuts to greatness.
All we need is patience, resilience, and a positive mindset. Learn from your mistakes, keep moving, and celebrate progress, no matter how small.
I’m glad I stepped outside yesterday evening. I came to appreciate the silence, but I left with a heart full of wisdom. My week already feels blessed, and I’m ready to face it with renewed strength in God’s might.
