When we were growing up, we all heard the word "it is for your own good" either from parents , teachers, older people, etc. they all say it like every time, yeah, they might mean well, maybe they want to help sometimes, but there are times when it doesn't even sit well with you as a person. Sometimes they don't know what you really want. the truth is that it is only you that knows what is good for you, as in only you know what makes your heart light up, or even what makes you feel stucked because it is your life and nor theirs, they are your choices and also your experiences.
That is why it is very important to become the leader of your own life no matter what it may be , never let anyone decide your path, because you never know if it will Favour you as they think, so you need to take charge of your life, an really listen to yourself, and not just what other people think is okay for you. So sometimes we do grow having a particular dream, but life will lead you towards another path, As a child i had many dreams, but right now i am not following any of them at all, life changed and i changed.
Let me tell you a little about where i am now, i am a lash technician , i do people's lashes for a living , my days are always busy , while some might not be busy, but i do enjoy what i do, I like the feeling of making people feel beautiful, i like when i see the smile on my client's faces when they look in the mirror and they love what they see, it gives me so much joy. I do own a beauty shop , though it is small, but i am happy it is mine, I worked hard to get to where i am, currently i just finished my OND in marketing , still waiting to get my results so i can further my education, it wasn't easy balancing my work and school together especially during exam periods, i want to learn more, i want to improve myself as a person, also i want to take my business to a whole new level, i do have big plans for it, currently i train people who are interested in learning and i have plans of making this more than a shop, i want it to be more like a safe haven for beautiful people. i want my store , or my brand to be known whole wide, and i hope to get this done through my hard work.
I wont lie to you, my dreams right now is to earn lots oof money, money might not be everything but without it one cannot do things or accomplish things in life, with money you can take care of yourself and your family, i want to be financially stable, i want to stop worrying about every little thing, making money is a dream to me.
As i said, you alone know what's good for you, so go for it and stick to it
