Hello to my fellow community members, I participated in the LOH contest last week and stood at #2 position. I am really happy and I am back again with my participation in the ongoing contest.
We are living in a time where many movies show strong women. Some have super powers, and some are just trying hard to deal with their life problems. These stories can really inspire us.
I remember I was in 10th standard when we were told to read The Diary of a Young Girl by Anne Frank as part of our school syllabus. That was the first time I got to know about Anne Frank and her story. So, yes the one who truly inspired me is Anne Frank.
We all know about the holocaust that took place during the World War 2, One of the victims of that time was Anne Frank. The diary that I mentioned above became the reason how the world got to know about Anne Frank.
During the Holocaust, Anne Frank, her family, and a few others were hiding from the Nazis. They stayed in hiding for almost two years. There was a secret area behind a bookcase, and that is where they all used to hide during the day because Nazi soldiers were often around.
In her book, The Diary of a Young Girl, Anne Frank shared her dreams about what she wanted to become. She also wrote about her frustration during the time they were hiding. They could not even speak , because if there was even a little noise, the Nazi soldiers might catch them.
After hiding for almost two years, Anne Frank and the others in that secret place were caught by the Nazi soldiers. Anne passed away in 1945. The only person who survived was Anne's father, Otto Frank. After the war was over, he found Anne’s diary and because of him it was published.
I personally read the book when I was in class 10th. At that time, it was just a normal book for us and maybe I was too small to understand the teachings and inspiration it reflected. But later, when I learned about the Holocaust and how Hitler killed around millions of people, it was a totally different thing. That kind of cruelty is something the world can never forget and that is why the life of Anne Frank will be remembered forever.
So yes, Anne Frank life taught me a lot of things. One of her most famous quotes is, "In spite of everything, I still believe that people are really good at heart." And I think that is what makes her so inspiring. Even during the worst times, she had hope and believed that goodness still exists in the world. That is something we should all remember.
Anne Frank dream was to become a writer and a journalist. Even though she could not live her dreams in her lifetime, her father made sure that her dreams would still come true through her diary. I believe the diary helped make those dreams a reality.
I think her diary helped her lived the dream of being a writer and journalist. She shared what was happening during those two years of hiding and also wrote about her life before that. Her diary was like a book as well as the holocaust event updates about as if it was given by a journalist.
Even though Anne passed away, her words stayed alive, and that is why I think she is truly inspiring. There are many things we can learn from her. One of the most important lessons is that even without any big resources, just using a pen and paper, she shared her dreams, her thoughts, and her emotions.
She might not have known that one day her diary would be read by millions, but she kept writing with passion and never gave up.
If we compare her time to ours, we have so many resources. We have laptops, mobiles, internet, paper, everything. And still, many of us do not express ourselves the way she did.
Today, we have platforms like Hive, where we can write freely and share whatever we want, as long as it is respectful and does not spread hate or target any religion. Hive is a decentralized platform, which means no one can stop you from expressing yourself.
In many ways, Hive is like a modern diary for us, just like Anne Frank had her diary. That is how I feel she inspires us even today. I think I have never written such a long blog before, and I just noticed that my words have crossed 700. But Anne Frank’s life is so inspiring that even a thousand or ten thousand words are not enough to describe it fully.
In the end, I just want to say that this is my entry for the Ladies of Hive Community contest #244. In the end once again I will request everyone to read her story. I am sure that the book will leave a positive impact on readers.
