God Almighty is the author and finisher of our faith. In everything in which we are doing, our good Lord should always be the FIRST. Everything in which we might be doing is good, but without GOD, everything is 0.
Holding something is clinging on to that thing; a baby in the womb depends on the mother for feeding. Our dear Lord is all in all in everything in which we are doing, so we should hold him so, so tight. As children hope in their parent for some basic things. So we all hope in the Lord. Holding God so tightly is really important in our lives. One thing is that human beings might really disappoint us in one way or the other, but one thing is that our Lord would never disappoint us all. Holding him involves putting our whole trust in mind and body in him. Our trust wholly should go to God, not half; we should have total surrender to him, who in any situation would never fail us all. Our total well-being should anchor on him.
One thing you hold, you don't deem to let go; likewise, we all hold him in situations where his answer might not be in alignment with our present desires. We might want it in way A while the Lord might want it in way B. The whole situation might make us want to feel bad, but one thing we should always try to know is that in everything, his desires would always be the best.
Holding God tightly is indeed one thing in which we would not think about doing but always do; no matter what might come our path, we would always see that there is a God who can never ever disappoint us all but do things for our good.
