Most people think flowers are the most beautiful things in the world.

So it is hardly surprising that everyone from poets to screenwriters has spoken about gardens for decades; from budding seedlings to blooming blooms in a kaleidoscope of colors, gardens are a veritable gold mine of inspiration.

One of Mother Nature's most exquisite creations are flowers, with their vivid hues and delightful scents. In the comfort of our own homes, flowers are frequently used to mark significant life events—such as the birth of a child or a moment of solace after a traumatic or depressing incident, as a well-wishing gesture during a sickness or a joyous occasion like a birthday or wedding, and particularly as a token of sympathy upon the passing of a loved one.

I find such solace or happiness in the vivid, magnificent buds for a reason. Flowers represent strength and purity in addition to being a vibrant décor. Although a flower's wilting and dying are a metaphor for the frailty of life, a floret's journey from bud to bloom is a beautiful allegory for one's own progress.
