Advice from a strong woman
What's the best advice you've ever recieved from a strong woman? Describe a strong female character who inspired or inspires you.
Our parents are always the ones who give us the best advice in life, at least that's what I perceive from my childhood. I will always be grateful that they allowed me to learn to work and thus contribute to the household economy. If I look back and see other children of my age, working to earn some money was one of the best things we learned.
There were also punishments, and for me, my family set a great example. It was truly another era when children didn't participate in adult conversations in the living room.
Although there was plenty of food on the table, the reality is that money wasn't abundant, and if I wanted a toy or a toy, I had to work to save money, waiting for a birthday or Christmas.
So, while I ironed my school uniform every week, every crease of my blue skirt, my mother reminded me that only studying and graduating could make my life better. She always encouraged me to think about a university degree, to have a profession to make a living in life.
The truth is that she was a great example; her advice was invaluable to me. It encouraged me not to miss out on studying. I wanted to be the first in my family with a college degree.
So I worked hard to improve my grades. I was both very scared and excited about going to study in my country's capital. I'd be in a boarding house without my family. There, I kept receiving the same advice: graduate and return home.

Consejo de una mujer fuerte
¿Cuál es el mejor consejo que has recibido de una mujer fuerte? Describe un personaje femenino fuerte que te haya inspirado o te inspire.
Nuestros padres son siempre los que nos dan los mejores consejos en la vida, por lo menos eso es lo que yo percibo de mi infancia. Siempre agradeceré el que me permitieran aprender a trabajar y contribuir así con la economía en el hogar. Si me pongo a mirar hacia atrás y veo a otros niños de mi época, el trabajar para conseguir algún dinero fue de las mejores cosas que aprendimos.
También hubo castigos y para mi hubo mucho ejemplo en mi familia. De verdad era otra época donde los niños no participaban en las conversaciones de los adultos en la sala.
Aunque no faltaba alimento en la mesa, la realidad es que no sobraba el dinero y si deseaba algún juguete o debía trabajar para ahorrar dinero, esperar el cumpleaños o la navidad.
Es así que mientras planchaba mi uniforme escolar cada semana, cada pliegue de la azul falda, mi madre me recordaba que solamente el estudiar y graduarme podría hacer que mi vida mejorará. Siempre ella me motivo a que pensará en una carrera universitaria, que debía tener una profesión para defenderme en la vida.
La verdad es que ella era un gran ejemplo, sus consejos fueron muy valiosos para mi, me animaron a no quedarme sin estudiar, quería ser la primera en la familia con un titulo universitario.
Así que me esforcé en mejorar las notas, tuve mucho temor y al mismo tiempo mucha emoción de ir a estudiar a la capital de mi país. Estar en una habitación de pensión y sin la familia. Allí seguía recibiendo el mismo consejo graduarte y regresar a casa.
