Hello, beautiful people! Welcome to my blog. It's a pleasure to have you in this space. Once again, welcome 🤗
For me, inner peace can be defined as a state where you have calmness, clarity, and you are also content. It's a state where you remain calm even in the midst of chaos and storm.
With the demands of life and how busy we have become, it's so easy to get caught up in our fast-paced world. Finding inner peace can be a bit of a challenge, even though we all need it for our overall well-being and how to navigate life.
I believe to be able to achieve inner peace, one needs to be aware of themselves and be intentional.
For my peace of mind and general well-being. There are things I do often.
Gratitude: it's so easy to get caught up in things we don't have or couldn't achieve instead of celebrating what we have. Most of the time, even when things don't go as planned, I try as much as possible to focus on things I am grateful about rather than dwelling in negative thoughts and worries that will bring me nothing other than high blood pressure. There are times that when I notice I have started getting myself worried about some things, what I do at those times is to count my blessings. I look at my loving family, beautiful friends, goals, and aspirations I was able to achieve.
Stay around positive people: there are people that once you are around them, you lose your peace. Some people carry an aura of negativity and trouble. For my own inner peace, I cut off such people who tend to look for ways to cause me trouble and steal my peace from my life. I surround myself with positivity.
Be kind to yourself: We are often told to be kind to others that we forget to be kind to ourselves. There used to be a time when I would beat myself up because of my mistakes or not doing something right, and I noticed that through those periods I was usually weary. I learned to make conscious efforts and practice being kind, patient, and understanding to myself. More than ever, I am more gentle with myself, and I acknowledge that it's okay to make mistakes sometimes.
I also engage in things that bring me happiness and peace. Another thing that has worked for me is regular mindfulness and meditation; it just has a way of reducing all the stress you feel and bringing calmness to the mind and body.
