What does Women Empowerment mean to me?
For me I personally feel that we Women will be Empowered when we no more have to talk about it. Does anyone talk of Men Empowerment? Never, so why should there be a need for Women Empowerment?
We feel a need right now because both the genders are not treated equally. So the day all these differences will be resolved and both the genders will be treated equally we will have to no more talk about it and fight for it. That will be true empowerment for all the women, when there will be no more need to fight for it.
Yes, but till then we will have to keep working towards it, and that can only happen when every single women realizes that they are equal to man and they can achieve everything that a man can achieve. Also in this male dominated society it is not easy to make our place. So even with our realization it is not easy that acceptance will be there and for that the women themselves only will have to stand up against any kind of injustice done to them in any way.
For me, what actions I take on this matter. With God's grace I have always been in a good place to have my say. I have worked in leadership positions in my job and that always gave me a edge to put my point across or have it my way. In that I have always made it a point to promote women, to encourage them in taking up responsibilities. I would make it a point to recruit women in key positions. And at the same time I made it a point to get the right talent for the job.
I believe that every women in position should make sure that they make good use of their position and empower other women with their own capabilities.
My advice to the women of new generation
Honestly, I feel that the women of the new generation are very smart, confident and they have a high level of awareness also. They are also very clear about what they want from life. But still sometimes I feel that they get carried away and do not consider the ground reality.
Women empowerment is just not about having your voice heard all the time. It is also about keep your feminism side active and making your presence felt, be heard and be taken seriously. Being responsible for yourself and for the decisions you make is important for all women. Also I will like to tell all the women to not be a victim of any type of abuse, be it physical, verbal or of any nature. Problems start when we feel the matter is insignificant and do not raise objections on any type of injustice that is happening either to us or to any other female.
Today's woman needs to be strong mentally, physically and emotionally to be truly empowered. She needs to be strong and soft at the same time.
