Truth be told, parenting is not easy, it's a very challenging task in life. That's why intending couples and those that are already married needs to be very careful with the way they live their lives because their offspring would be learning from every of their actions whether directly or indirectly.
Training a child has to be on what's best to the parents, there are no laid down rules on parenting at all, it is just based on parents perspective.
Nowadays, It takes the grace of God and the hard work of a parent to nurture a child in the right way because the world is filled with lot of distractions. Although I'm still single but hoping to be married very soon, I believe the three most pivotal parental traits should be:
PATIENCE
Patience is a virtue every parents must have because parenting is a lifetime role. Raising a child from childhood till adulthood takes commitment and time, it's a gradual process that can't be attained in a giffy. Till when the child is married, the parents will still act as his or her guide, so this means there is no rushing, it's taking one step at a time.
With patience, parents will be able to instill good morals in their children, communicate with them freely, study the various reactions they can make towards a thing and also be able to manage their emotional stress and teach them how to live their lives towards the fulfillment of their dreams.
INTEGRITY
Parents must be trustworthy, this virtue is lacking in the world today because parents are teaching their kids indirectly on how not to be keeping to their words. For example, a father going to his place of work in the morning will promise his daughter that when coming in the evening he will get her biscuits, such a child will be in expectation that Daddy will buy biscuits for her.
But in the long run, the Dad won't keep to his promise. The majority of parents usually think kids don't take things to heart but they do, integrity requires that you must always keep to your words, be disciplined in everything including your words, let your Yes be Yes and your No be No.
HARDWORKING
A responsible parent must be hardworking, taking your work diligently will make your kids understand that there is decency in labour. With working hard, you will be able to instill in them the act of appreciating the resources they have and also the importance of taking responsibilities by themselves.
Children are smart beings, they understand every slightest actions of their parents, so if a parent is lazy and beg always, later in life the children will eventually become a professional begger if care isn't taken. So it's very important for parents to be hardworking so that their children will able to know that it pays to work hard so as for them to be a chooser and not a begger.
With the above three pivotal parental traits, I believe parents will be able to instill high morals in their children and it will help them have a prosperous future.
