Common sense is what we use and hear very often. It means different things to different people. To me, it's just an understanding we have about things; it doesn't require us to think too much; it's just the ability to be able to resolve situations in a way that would make sense to anyone that hears it.
The question is if everyone has this sense, I can simply beat my chest to say no. The truth is that is not everything that requires our intelligence. They are things we just can solve with our life experiences, mere looking and observing, and that's all.
I have a friend who claims she knows it all, but to me, I don't see her actually knowing it all when it comes to spending and money matters. She complains every day of money, money, and money, but whenever she has money, she spends it all on things she doesn't need.
This is someone who can't use her common sense effectively. She can spend 30,000 naira in just a week because she can't differentiate between need and want. It only takes a financially stable person to spend on things they don't need because they have means of regenerating the money. But for someone like her, all she needed was common sense to tell her to avoid expenses that aren't worth it.
Another thing we don't need anybody to teach us is respect. No matter someone's status, be it poor, rich, we all need common sense to tell us that everyone deserves to be respected no matter the background or status. Little things like these are what common sense teaches us. But like I said in the course of writing, everyone has what common sense means to them, and it's just common sense that would make us respect others decisions while sticking to ours.
