I believe makeup helps to enhance one's beauty, but when this purpose is defeated,, maybe due to the nature of the makeup, what then is the essence?
I appreciate makeup no doubt, but I'm not into the heavy or dramatic type. Nah! Simplicity is it for me, and I prefer a more understated look. Usually, my focus is to enhance my natural skin tone and features, rather than making a bold statement.
Thankfully I have a pretty cute face, so a slight makeup is just okay to make it glow up. However, there are days that I can go without applying any makeup, just like the photo below, and I'd look just fine.
Well, I am nothing close to being an expert when it comes to applying makeup, hehehe. But I still try to pull off some good face beat. Lol.
Talking about face beat, I've only had a professional face beat or complex makeup once. And that was during my childhood's wedding some years ago. I was her maid of honor so I needed to look glam, and I loved it.
Since I'm no makeup artist or even an expert, I do not have need for too much makeup products. I only make do with few makeup kit;
- Facial wipes.
- Liquid Foundation - I use Classic true color matifying liquid foundation, Shade 600.
- Pressed powder - Classic or Sleek medium shade
- Eyeshadow.
- Lipsticks - I often use two two colors
- Eye brow pencil.
- Concealer.
- Foundation foam.
- Eye shadow brush.
- Concealer brush.
- Powder brush.
Achieving a natural glow involves a simple routine, though I do not follow it strictly.
Cleanse my with face wipes.
Apply little foundation - forehead, cheeks, nose and jaw. I'll then use the foam to apply it evenly on my face.
I'll apply the pressed powder with a fluffy foam, and then contour with a brush.
Occasionally, I carve my brows - not by myself o. So I'll just fill it in with the pencil. Once done, I'll apply concealer around it to define their edges and clean it up. Sometimes I'll just skip it this step.
Then comes the eye shadow, that's for days I feel like applying it.
Finally I'll apply lipstick.
Simple, easy and fast, giving me the pretty natural look, all day.
