Contest #259: Visiting the Jardin del Oriente; The Guacharo Cave

in Ladies of Hive7 months ago

Hello Ledies Of Hive family, I hope you are all doing well. I am pleased to be able to join this week's community initiative.

Here is the question:

1️⃣ According to my post-retirement financial model, I could almost afford an overseas trip every other year. I'd like my Hive sisters or brothers to plan my 3-day visit to your hometown or city. What would we do and where would we go for me to experience your culture?

If I had to recommend a magical town, it would be the beautiful town of Caripe del Guacharo in Venezuela. With a wonderful climate, Caripe offers us unparalleled adventures from rivers to caves, with spectacular flora and a wonderful climate. You know when you are going to arrive in the area because you feel a slight chill accompanying the sun. It has a temperature of 12°C to 24°C throughout the year, thus having a mountain climate and offering many crops in this area, as various fruits, tubers, grains, and foods in general are harvested.

It is named Caripe del Guácharo because it has an impressive cave that is several years old, only 130 million years old 🙃

The cave is a limestone cavern over 10 km long. The Guacharo Cave is more than just a cavity; it is a cave that allows for the ecological conservation of many species. It is named after the Guacharo bird, which is unique in its species and inhabits this cave. The cave is actually a national park in our country, Venezuela, and a tour guide is required to access it.

In Caripe, you can also find “El Salto La Paila,” which is approximately 60 meters high and whose waterfall forms a beautiful natural pool with crystal clear waters. El Salto La Paila is a place you can't miss if you're in Caripe.

You can't leave without taking a photo with the Guácharo bird monument and visiting the Caripe Viewpoint, a high point that allows you to see the whole beautiful town of Caripe, its pretty facades, and trees.

Another thing to add is the warmth of the people who live in this area. where I was given many oranges and tangerines, which are still the sweetest I have ever eaten in my entire life. In addition, when you travel along the road, you can see many people working on various crops, such as large fields of coffee, lettuce, bananas, plantains, and different types of trees and flowers, such as the beautiful calla lilies. This is why Caripe is known as the Garden of Eastern Venezuela.

Hello, that's right. This area holds a lot of history and geology. Greetings friend

Without a doubt, our country offers an immense diversity of tourist attractions. As you say, the Guácharo Cave is more than just a cavity; it's a cave that allows for the ecological conservation of numerous species. I love it.

I can almost imagine taking a photo selfie of you, me and the statue.
This reminds me to exercise back into shape to hike this lush, beautiful but rugged terrain. Is there a colony of Bats in this natural cave? That would be cool. Venezuela does have a great climate for growing a much greater variety of fruit than I can possibly grow in Canada’s short and mild growing season.

Thanks for the peek of our countryside tour @lissobando18

Hello, yes Caripe is wonderful, yes there are bats but the Guacharo bird is the most investigated animal in this area by biologists, it is an exceptional and unique bird. I hope that someday you can visit this beautiful town. Greetings and a giant hug to Canada.
