Reminded me of the my days before HIVE, I had a favorite used Bookstore I enjoyed shopping at. That Bookstore went under from the Covid shutdown. I miss the place.

That's sad... I don't go that often in bookstore because I mostly just purchase my books online, plus there's no bookstore in our city..I need to spend much on fare just to visit the nearest bookstore ;( I do wish I lived in a place like Takako's where I'm surrounded by different kinds of bookstores... ahhhh what a luxury it would be.
I prefer the feel of a physical paper book than a digital copy. I used to carry a paperback with me to read in between my Patient visits when I was a community nurse. I didn't want to lug around an electronic pad everywhere with me where I risk losing, dropping, or robbed from me.

Sameee! The smell of physical books is just something else, that is why I couldn't really resist the temptation to buy at least one book online every month.
And yes, I used to read novels digitally, but like you, I also find it impractical at times, so I opted for the physical copies.
