The crazy guy | LOH #277 contest week

in Ladies of Hive3 months ago

Greetings ladies, I know I'm a little late but here I bring a rather strange story... to share.

What's the dumbest thing someone has ever tried to do to win you over?

He tried agreeing with me on everything and pretending to feel bad to get my attention. It didn't work. There was also this guy who thought that by stalking me he'd win my heart—that's one of the craziest things that's ever happened to me. It turns out this guy always saw me going to exercise at a certain time because I had to pass by that spot to catch public transportation. One day he stopped me and asked if I was interested in a job at a gym, which I thought was interesting, but he asked for my contact information to give me more details. The thing is, every time he texted or even called, it was about something completely unrelated to that. Eventually, I told him I wasn't interested in dating him, blocked his number, and stopped walking near to that place… Months later, I ran into him, and it turns out I'd seen him several times before but had never paid him any attention. And when I say I'd seen him, it's because one day, walking along the other path I used to take, a guy on a bike came up and stopped me. It was him, but I didn't remember him at that precise moment until he started talking about working at a gym and hiring staff. That's when I remembered him; he was repeating the same story as before. I rejected him again, telling him I remembered him, to leave me alone… It turns out he's my neighbor; he lives relatively close. That day, he'd been following me and talking behind me, asking me to go running, walking, out to eat, cycling, anything… His desperation was scaring me. He knew I lived in the area before I even knew he lived there too. Who knows how long he's been watching me? I think he's mentally unstable. Because he acts like nothing ever happened, like every time he saw me and asked me out, it was the first time… He even changed his number and texted me the same thing…

No funcionó.

I’m scared, that’s really really weird!! Who would date a stalker?

He sounds like a man who perseveres yet has a short memory. Saying a firm 'No' in a positive and reinforcing sense should work. His body language must have put out some red flag. Trust you instincts @josehany , better safe than sorry.
