First of all, I want to inform you that I am now 19 years old and a week ago I just graduated from high school. I plan to continue my studies or at least take a designer training. 😘😍
Okay. In this contest, there are two choices of themes suggested and will be questioned by @marivic10. The first theme is about going on vacation, the second theme is about favorite food. I chose the second theme about food.
Why did I choose the food theme instead of the theme about going on vacation?
To be honest, I rarely go on vacation, the reason is that I am an introvert and don't really like open places and crowded with visitors. When the holidays arrive, I prefer to ask my mother to buy reading books or painting tools to fill my free time. Therefore, in this contest I want to take the second theme, which is about food.
Talking about food means talking about taste. Of course, human tastes in eating are very diverse, ranging from those who prefer fish or meat and those who don't like vegetables. On the other hand, there are quite a few people who tend to only like vegetables and are allergic to eating fish or meat.
Human tastes cannot be equated with each other because in my opinion it is a natural law that is sometimes supported by several factors including heredity. For example, like me. My liking for vegetable foods in addition to a life choice is also supported by heredity. My mother is a vegetarian.
However, what is more important to me is that choosing to be a vegetarian is because of health factors. I have an itchy skin allergy with red spots if I eat fish or food mixed with chicken or beef. Especially if it's seafood like lobster and crab, it's certain that my skin is itchy and has red spots for at least two days.
Even though I am a vegetarian, I am not fanatical enough to hate people who like to eat meat. For me, people's tastes cannot be equated and we must respect each other.
However, what is more important than choosing to be a vegetarian is none other than health and fitness. For example, my mother is now over 40 years old, during my time with her, I have never seen her seriously ill. Mostly a little headache due to the effects of work fatigue.
Unlike other women the same age as my mother, not a few of them fall ill to the point of being hospitalized and having to have surgery which turns out to be due to choosing the wrong food.
My mother and I have something in common; we both like to eat vegetables such as kale, carrots, water hyacinth and green beans. I also like raw vegetables such as eggplant, steamed engkal and long beans.
Talking about the importance of choosing food, my mother once said to me "Healthy body starts from two things: One peace of mind, two types of food that we consume every day."
I think what my mother said is very true. I see many of my school friends who have serious illnesses due to carelessly consuming snacks at school. Consuming too much spicy food resulted in many of my friends having to have intestinal surgery. Consuming too many syrup drinks, many of my young friends already have complicated diseases.
But, whatever type of food we like, if it is excessive it is still not good for our health. So, simplicity in eating is also an important factor for our health.
