In the olden days, woman were always relegated to the backyard, their roles are no more than a housewife, caregiver, look after the children and giving the husband support in achieving his own goal. But in recent years, Women are really going forward, their roles within society has really grown beyond expectations. Women in our society today, didn't only love and support their love ones, but also contributing to the household expenses, the economic growth, setting up their goal and contributing to the development of society.
One of the clear roles that women play in society today, is starting up their own business. Nowadays, women have also been proven to be successful entrepreneurs. They aren't afraid of taking a risk and establishing their own business. I can remember how I started my online business during my NYSC days, about four years ago. I had my NYSC in Delta State. During this period, I started raising some money from my allowance, which I later used in starting my own online business, and I named it G2 Comfort Enterprises. Nowadays, a lot of online businesses out there are being established by women.
Another role of the woman in society today is education, and employment. Women nowadays value education a lot, we study really hard, stay positive and believe in ourselves to reach a greater height, achieve a good grade and secure a good job. Where I work today, the population of female workers we had is greater than the male workers. Women are proudly doing wonderful well in today's society, which I am super proud of.
I'm really proud to be a woman. We are embodiment of love, sacrifice, courage and strength. We are just the best.
