Hi lovelies, welcome to another week of great opportunities. I trust, it's gonna be an amazing week and thanks to @kerrislravenhill for those wonderful topics in ladies of hive.

Charitable giving is a normal part of my budget. It is not always cash donations but it can be other resources like your time and talents as well. Name your favorite Charity and what makes it special to you?

Right from my childhood, giving back to people around me has always been in my budget. I love to give most especially when I see poor kids who have no clothes to wear nor shoes. I can ransack my wardrobe for that cause. I still do that now and I am not gonna stop so help me God 🙏🙏

For the passion I have for charity, I decided to join Pyramid of heart charity foundation in 2010. This was launched by a friend of mine who has the same passion as much as I do and we started. Pyramid of heart is a Non-governmental organization founded by Mr Abiodun Johnson in 2010.

We started helping with the little National Youth Service Corps allowance (a mandatory one year service to our Nation). We were receiving #9,700 monthly as at the time we started. With the little we earn then, we were putting smiles on people's faces and from there, people who has the same interest started joining us.

Myself and the founder

For the past 13years we have grown big and bigger in terms of giving. We have different slogans throughout the 13years, starting from feed the poor, kindness begins with me, zero hunger initiates, build a better world and so many more. We visited home of the Handicaps,Motherless baby's home, home of the Aged, Orphanage home,Less privilege homes, schools and communities etc. In all the 36 states in Nigeria, we have covered 6 states presently such as Ogun state, Lagos state, Rivers state, Oyo state, Kano state,Kwara state and Abuja, the capital of Nigeria and we are still spreading the love the more as we proceed.

Donation of food items,toiletries, books, stationeries, grinding machine, mattresses,refrigerators,school bags and shoes and all other needed materials has been donated so far.

Giving is my passion, I see it as privilege to give back to people who are in need both medically, physically, emotionally and financially. On our team, we have different professions like Medical doctors, nurses,teachers, bankers and so on.
It does not matter how far the distance or the place, I am always available both financially and physically because KINDNESS BEGINS WITH ME.

Charity is something that makes our heart feel the joy, not by owning a thing but by making another person owner of the thing you once held.

This organization does have a footprint on Facebook, 22,000 members and has been in service 13 years. And there is a website: pyramidofhearts.org. which is currently under maintenance. When you get a lot of people with the same passion to provide supportive services to the impoverished you get something like this. The advantage to mobilize on an organizational level and the ability to bring the issue of poverty to public awareness. This is my first time hearing of this.
