What Is Mental Health?


Mental health is a state of being emotional, physically, stable. Being able to take stand and sort life challenges without being stuck or frustrated at a journey part.

It sassens me to see a lot of mentally unstable people claiming to be okay just to continue with life activities. We are not robots and therefore, we deserve to rest when it gets too much and tends to introduce depression.

Our overall health should be our priority and matter to us. It will be a world lessen problem if we handle mental breakdown very well.


How i Cope


Being able to Cope with the demands of modern life can be a bit challenging, here are some strategies i apply

Prioritize self-care: Making time for activities that nourish my mind, body, and soul, such as exercise, meditation, or hobbies.

Setting boundaries: I have Learnt to say "no" to non-essential commitments and establish a healthy work-life balance.

Staying connected: Building and maintaining relationships with supportive family and friends.

Practicing mindfulness: Learning to focus on the present moment and let go of worries about the past or future.

Seek professional help: If i see myself struggling, i consider consulting a mental health professional for guidance and support.

Take breaks: I do allow myself to take rest and recharge.

Staying adaptable: I have embrace being open to change and flexible in my approach.

Making a checklist, glance over monthly, make a note or two to keep on track. Mental issues quietly slip in, it's something we must be alert to.

I did practice setting boundaries but at times it conflicts with adapting to circumstances that can be fluid. In my case, it continued for too long. Important or pressing issues tend to put my rest and recharge routine on indefinite hold. For a 20 month stretch since the Covid pandemic I not only with my full-time Night shift and tending to the needs of my family, but also took on caring for my late Roommate following her Cancer diagnosis. Add my responsibilities in the Hive community, all left me chronically exhausted sleeping an average of 5 hours a day. This schedule has been very hard on my health and now I am forced to retire due to my health.
