Dreaming the wine / Soñar el vino (eng-esp)

in Ladies of Hive4 days ago

Hello, ladies. Today I'm reaching out to you with a reflection I had after seeing this wonder yesterday on the roof of my house.

My husband and I planted this grape plant a year or so ago. It was just a seedling when we planted it. It didn't reach 20 centimeters tall. However, from the very beginning, we visualized what it would become with the passage of time and our care.
In other words, we dreamed of wine.
What do I mean by dreaming of wine?
It's simple; I mean visualizing the dreamed future.
By that, I'm not talking about guessing, but rather forming an image of what we want. Carlos Castaneda referred to dreaming, to desiring something and putting our intention into it.

In my case, I saw the grape plant and visualized the plant, then the vine, and finally the wine.

Without a doubt, if we don't dream about something we desire, if we don't think and plan for our future and dedicate ourselves to living each day without any ambition, we will never achieve anything.

We must set goals, some idea, have a purpose: plan and stick to this goal until we achieve it.

Notice how the grape tendrils cling to every little gap in the blocks of the wall. We must do the same. If you have a plan, follow it completely. No matter how difficult or complicated it is, it will never be more difficult than climbing several meters high and just as many meters long, clinging to the side of a cement block.
If it were easy, it wouldn't be worth it, my friends.

Think of it as an exercise in faith, in hope. We must have faith in ourselves. Faith that we will overcome ourselves day by day. Faith that we can achieve anything we set our minds to.
Faith that empowerment begins within ourselves, in believing it.
And hope that our work, our patience, and our sacrifice, in the near or distant future, will bear fruit.

No matter how steep and difficult the road, we will drink the wine.

But, of course, everything requires sacrifice, work, and patience. When I talk about visualizing the future and holding on to that idea, yes, it's about faith and hope, but also about overcoming difficulties and hard work.
We can never settle for the dream. Yes, the dream is beautiful, but our overcoming difficulties, our work, and our effort are the only things that can make it a reality.

We must be patient and work.

This vine grew little by little, day by day. Slowly, but without stopping for a moment. She climbed, clinging to whatever she could. Sometimes she found comfortable cables to wrap her tendrils around, but then, more than three meters up, she found only cement blocks and smooth walls.
However, that never stopped her.

We have to be like this vine.

Let nothing stop us from dreaming of wine, girls.

A hug to all.

Hola, chicas.

Escaló aferrándose a dónde podía.

this post touched my heart deeply. The way you compared the growth of the grape plant to our dreams is so powerful and inspiring. You’re so right, nothing good comes easy. We must dream, plan, and keep working no matter how tough things get.

I really love the message about holding on, like the vine, even when there’s no support. That picture you painted gave me hope. Sometimes we feel like giving up, but your words reminded me that even slow progress is still progress.

Thank you for sharing this beautiful lesson with us. May your vine grow strong and your wine be sweet Sending you a big hug too

You have no idea how much your words mean to me. This was an idea, a thought that took final form inside me when I saw that budding bunch of grapes.
It's always gratifying to read words like yours and know that we're not writing for fun, that our thoughts are similar to those of others, and that we have the ability to help others and give hope with our words.
That's why this community of ours and our work within it are so important.
We have the obligation and responsibility to help one another.
Thank you so much. You've brightened my day.
