So sad, @faithgifty34! Has her mother reached out to any authorities and if so, are they willing to help? I pray she is okay and just unable to contact anyone.

Yes we did. She (her mum) has spent a lot of money on contacting the police and they arent just helping.
The last time she was tracked with her phone is when she was approaching the border. Approach to the border simply means she did embark on the dessert journey. I am sure she isnt alive. If she is, she would have known her family is currently looking for her and find a means to contact them.
