RE: A Little Breast Cancer Awareness, A Lot of Frustration || A Pink Month Reflection

in Ladies of Hive2 days ago

It is certainly unfair to see how women's bodies are constantly experimented on, and even more so to normalize pain. It is time to become aware, as you say, no one is better than ourselves to do so. Thank you for sharing the steps for self-examination and sexual health. Have a nice evening,

Thank you for sharing your thoughts on my post! Indeed! The funny thing is, most women actually feel the need to keep quiet. They don't know that the pain they go through in any phase, whether it's the menstrual phase, ovulation, or even childbirth, some of these pains are not normal, and pain tolerance level does not equal strength.

This is one of the reasons I appreciate the breast cancer awareness movement so much. Because women have been taught to normalize pain so most of them ignore even when they feel pain in those areas, such as the breast. But due to this movement, women know now that some pains are not "normal" and our body always gives signs. It's simply left for us to listen.

Thank you once again for this amazing prompt. Do have a lovely week.
