¿Eres una «persona de libros» o una «persona de películas»? Comparte por qué prefieres la que eliges. Si no eres ni lo uno ni lo otro, ¿Qué persona eres para tus ratos de entretenimiento?
I'll be completely honest with you, I would really love to be the woman of books, but the truth is that I don't know why I have never felt very attracted to reading, books are not my thing, maybe it's because when I went to high school, in my time the teachers forced us to read the most boring novels of the classics of literature, like El Quijote, for example, which is not that it is boring but it is written in old Spanish and for that reason I never connected with it, other times they asked us to read The Iliad or other novels that were very complicated to understand, so maybe I took a phobia of it, so every time I get ready to read a book I start well but then I end up falling asleep, so you could say that I prefer movies or series because I am a more visual and graphic person, yes, when it comes to adaptations I like them to be faithful, very faithful to the original material, for example, the most recent experience I had of this kind was watching One Hundred Years of Solitude on Netflix, because once I tried to read the book and I just couldn't find the way to connect with it, but watching the series was a different experience, much more dynamic and enjoyable for me, it gave me the opportunity to get to know the story and the characters without complications or rhetoric.
Seré completamente honesta con ustedes, de verdad me encantaría poder ser la mujer de los libros, pero la verdad es que no sé porqué nunca me he sentido muy atraída hacia la lectura, los libros no son lo mío, tal vez se deba a que cuando fui a la escuela secundaria, en mi época los profesores nos obligaban a leer las novelas más aburridas de los clásicos de literatura, como El Quijote, por ejemplo, que no es que sea aburrida sino que está escrita en español antiguo y por esa razón nunca me conecté con ella, otras veces nos pedían leer La Iliada u otros novelas que eran muy complicadas para la comprensión, entonces tal vez le tomé fobia, así que cada vez que me dispongo a leer un libro empiezo bien pero luego termino dormida, así que se podría decir que prefiero las películas o series porque soy una persona más visual y gráfica, eso sí, cuando se trata de adaptaciones me gusta que sean fieles, muy fieles al material original, por ejemplo, la experiencia más reciente que tuve de este tipo fue ver Cien Años de Soledad en Netflix, porque una vez intenté leer el libro y simplemente no encontré la manera de conectar con él, pero ver la serie fue una experiencia diferente, mucho más dinámica y amena para mi, me dio la oportunidad de conocer la historia y los personajes sin complicaciones ni retórica.
