How Technology Opens New Opportunities
Since I was born, I’ve watched technology evolve at lightning speed i almost couldn't track, from the days of basic phones and web 1 internet to now where AI, mobile apps, and online platforms dominate, it’s been an incredible journey. One of the biggest impacts I’ve seen is how technology has broken down geographical barriers. Today, you can work, study, or collaborate with people anywhere in the world without ever leaving your home.

Personally, I’ve noticed how job hunting has become easier thanks to technology. Now, people work remotely from anywhere, doing things like software development, design, writing, customer service, virtual assistance,and lots more,you name it. Platforms like Upwork, Fiverr, and LinkedIn have opened doors that didn’t exist 20 years ago. And yes, I’ve also had my own experience with freelancing online, and I know people making a living through it full time.
And when it comes to learning? Information has never been more easily accessible,sites like Coursera, Udemy, and YouTube make it possible to learn technical skills like coding, design, or digital marketing often for free or at a very low cost. I can boldly say I’ve taught myself skills online that I never imagined I could learn without paying huge fees or going to a formal school, I'm a testimony of using technology.
Then there’s AI a massive game changer,to me AI has marked a milestone in the growth of tech. While there were debates about it taking jobs, the truth is AI is creating entirely new career fields and improving the way we do things in healthcare for instance, surgeries can now be done using machines created by knowledge of robotics and machine learning likewise in agriculture, education, and finance, technology has a role to play.The speed and intelligence AI brings to problem solving is unlike anything we’ve had before honestly it's not a hype.
Are You Utilizing New Technology Where You Live?
This is a real question we should all ask ourselves because if you’re not keeping up, the truth is the world might leave you behind.
I’ll never forget one night when I went out to buy rice, It was late, and most shops were already closed but luckily, I saw a man outside selling. I walked up, asked for the amount I needed, and told him I’d do a transfer since I didn’t have cash on me but he looked at me blankly and said, “I don’t do digital. I’m analog. I only take cash.” I'd never been that surprised,i couldn't believe my ear,I didn’t get the rice, and he lost a customer all because he wasn’t using mobile money or any digital payment system intentionally.
It really hit me how important tech is, even in the smallest ways.These days, I don’t even remember the last time I physically went to a commercial bank, mobile banking is my best now, It’s quicker, more convenient, and less stressful.
How I Might Use Tech Daily
When I think of technology in my daily life, the first thing that comes to mind is communication. I use tools like Zoom, WhatsApp, Telegram, and Discord almost every day for collaboration, staying in touch, and networking, tech has made it easier to stay connected, no matter where people are.
I engage tech in various areas of my life but let's go with the most necessary;
✓ In skill building
I use YouTube and to learn new skills like coding,and design complimenting it with tools like Visual Studio Code, Canva, and Adobe to practice and grow.These platforms have literally turned my pc into a classroom.

✓ Productivity
Why would someone think am this productive,i can beat my beat that people wonder how i do it,I simply organize my tasks and projects with Google Drive, Notion, and Trello.
Tech isn’t just about shiny gadgets or complicated systems, it’s about making life better, smarter, and more connected. Whether it’s getting paid or learning a new skill,technology is changing everything. If you’re not using it yet, it’s not too late to start.
I heard someone say yesterday that the world is becoming more virtual than it is physical.
Let’s not get left behind. Let’s use the tools around us to build better lives.
