Greetings, my dear Ladies of Hive. I hope you are doing very well with abundant health and well-being and that this is a week of accomplished projects and much success.
I share my participation in the #243 edition of the contest to which the Ladies of Hive invite us, weekly. On this occasion, I will give an answer to the first question that our friend @ elizabethbit has proposed for this week:
1️⃣ If you could have any animal as a pet, which one would you choose and why? Would you prefer the male or the female of that species?

Comparto mi participación en la edición #243 del concurso al que nos invitan, semanalmente, las Damas de Hive. En esta ocasión, daré respuesta a la primera pregunta de las que nos ha propuesto la amiga @ elizabethbit para esta semana:
1️⃣ Si pudieras tener cualquier animal como mascota, ¿cuál elegirías y por qué? ¿Preferirías al macho o a la hembra de esa especie?

If I could have any animal as a pet, I would choose a dog without hesitation. For as long as I can remember, dogs have been an essential part of my life. There is no other animal that makes me feel such a deep and sincere connection as they do. I have had both male and female dogs, and the truth is, I don't have a preference. For me, what is important is the special bond that is formed and the joy they bring to my life.
What I enjoy most is to see them wagging their tails with enthusiasm, to feel my days light up with their company and to let myself be conquered by those deep eyes that speak without saying a word. No matter how many years go by, every time a puppy looks at me like that, I melt. They are pure love, loyalty and joy in one furry body. I like to play with them, walk them, spoil them and even talk to them, because I know they understand me in their own way.
Si pudiera tener cualquier animal como mascota, sin dudarlo elegiría un perro. Desde que tengo uso de razón los perritos han sido parte esencial de mi vida. No hay otro animal que me haga sentir esa conexión tan profunda y sincera como ellos. He tenido perros machos y hembras, y la verdad, no tengo una preferencia. Para mí, lo importante es el vínculo especial que se forma y la alegría que traen a mi vida.
Lo que más disfruto es verlos mover la colita con entusiasmo, sentir cómo se me iluminan los días con su compañía y dejarme conquistar por esos ojitos profundos que hablan sin decir una palabra. No importa cuántos años pasen, cada vez que un perrito me mira así, me derrito. Son puro amor, lealtad y alegría en un solo cuerpo peludo. Me gusta jugar con ellos, pasearlos, consentirlos y hasta conversarles, porque sé que me entienden a su manera.

For me, dogs have it all. Their unconditional love, contagious energy and faithful companionship are enough to fill any space with tenderness and happiness. So, if I were given the choice of any animal, I would still choose a dog, because there is no other pet that makes me feel so much joy.
Currently, we are left with Blacky here in Bogota because our beloved Bruno, who also emigrated with us, went to doggy heaven in March, and Maga is in Venezuela in the care of my youngest niece.
Para mí, los perros lo tienen todo. Su amor incondicional, su energía contagiosa y su compañía fiel son suficientes para llenar cualquier espacio de ternura y felicidad. Así que, si me dieran a escoger cualquier animal, seguiría eligiendo un perro, porque no hay otra mascota que me haga sentir tanta alegría.
Actualmente, nos queda Blacky aquí en Bogotá porque nuestro amado Bruno, que también emigró con nosotros, se fue al cielo de los perritos en marzo, y Maga está en Venezuela al cuidado de mi sobrina más pequeña.
